JSC NC "KazAutoZhol" and the National Association of Cooperatives and Other Forms of Economic Communities of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a cooperation agreement.
On March 16, 2021, Ulan Alipov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "KazAutoZhol," and Kazybek Shaykh, President of the National Association of Cooperatives and Other Forms of Economic Communities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed a Cooperation Agreement. The agreement is for the development of economic communities along highways in the form of consumer cooperatives and mass entrepreneurship.

Joint Initiatives

The parties agreed to jointly develop:
  • Cooperation programs for the development of roadside services on national highways by economic communities.
  • Projects for the implementation of public-private partnerships (PPP) with the country's economic communities.
  • Action plans for the development of cooperation within the bitumen market.
This collaboration is intended to provide an alternative way to develop roadside infrastructure and improve the well-being of the population through the active involvement of people via cooperatives and other forms of economic communities.
Worldwide, cooperatives have about 800 million members in over 100 countries, and they provide 100 million jobs:

  • In Canada, one in three citizens is a cooperative member.

  • In France, cooperatives provide 700,000 jobs.

  • In Japan, 91% of farmers are organized in a cooperative.

  • In Kuwait, 80% of retail trade is handled by consumer cooperatives.

  • In Bolivia, one-quarter of national savings are managed by cooperatives.

As international experience shows, establishing cooperative businesses makes a significant contribution to socio-economic development, reduces unemployment, and helps maintain a balanced distribution of well-being in society.
